Make sure the burner tubes are clean and in good shape near where the electrode sparks.This doesn't apply to Summit gas models made from 2007 until present because they have a unique snap-jet igniter system. Click here for information about battery powered igniters. If you have a brand new grill, make sure that you removed the protective plastic from the battery. Also, make sure the battery is installed correctly. ![]() If your model is one of these, you'll want to try changing the battery. HAVE YOU TRIED REPLACING THE BATTERY? If it is running colder than normal, it could be a gas flow issue. DOES THE GRILL GET HOT?
